12 THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT ME
I grind my teeth.

My parents called me Lisa until I was 5 years old.

My fingernails are really strong.

I'm an alto.

I can type 90 words a minute, approximately.

I'm left-handed.

Bug legs give me the heebie-jeebies.

I'm a Monday's child.

I've moved 29 times in my life...so far.

I didn't get my first driver's license until after I had graduated from college.

During an average 7-day week, I eat salmon at least 4 times.

I've never been drunk.

Your turn!

Ooooo. Lovely list Liz! I love your lists. I am also loving alliteration here, apparently. I find it fascinating that you didn't drive until after college! Wow

Re: From Megsie

I lived in Europe until graduating high school and getting an international license there was a huge pain and very expensive, plus no driver's ed in school. So I waited, and then at college, freshmen weren't allowed cars on campus, so I didn't bother. I had a learner's permit and practiced with my mom during the summer, but I didn't get my license until after I was done. Didn't really need it back then :)

I don't know what I hit, but I was in mid sentence up there. Now, where was I? Oh, yes, "wow" I would have never survived, I was going to say. I drove all the time throughout high school and during college! I will think about this and try to do a post tonight with my 12 things! Thanks for thinking for me!

Some interesting things I didn't know! One of the things I learned though was actually about me - if you're a Monday's Child, that means I'm a Friday's Child. :-)

Funny, I would have pegged you for a Thursday's Child! hahah!

Nope, I didn't know those things about you. But what a terrific list. I think that the things you don't know about me might be better left unwritten :)

Some things we share are that I was also called by a different name - still am - by my family. It was the nuns at school who insisted that they use my proper "first" name (the Dutch use the second name generally), so my family use a diminutive version of my second name and call me Téa, while the rest of the world calls me Marie.

Snap on being left-handed as well.

Sadly I can only type 90 words an hour. On a good day :) And I am a Tuesday child, which you probably are laughing at guessed. Me being full of grace ... yeah, right!

really? you didn't know any of them? That's good, I figured I had to be repeating myself after this many years of blogging. :P

How funny about your name! It was my own initiative on my part...I came home from the first day of Kindergarten and announced I didn't want to be Lisa because there were 5 Lisa's in my class. I have a cousin, also named Elizabeth, who is a 1.5 years older than I am, but she has always gone by Beth.

Did you initiate the switch to Liz or was it a younger sibling or something? When my cousin Liz was born, my aunt drilled it into us that she was Elizabeth, and we should call her Elizabeth and never Liz, Lizzy, Lisa, Beth, Betsy, etc. Then her younger siblings were born and the youngest couldn't say Elizabeth.

I didn't get my license until after college either. Our move halfway through high school kind of upended the usual progression of things and then our cars were constantly breaking down so there wasn't any opportunity for practice. Once I was at college, I didn't need a car and it isn't like there would have been one I could have driven anyway.

Ha! about the late driver's license. Glad I am not alone. People always seem to find that fact shocking. Much more so than the fact that I've never been drunk, haha!

My two sisters on either side of me also didn't get their licenses until after college. My older sister's circumstances were the same as mine but my younger sister really probably should have gotten hers while she was still in high school, she was always just too busy with extra curriculars to have the time for driver's ed.
