We've been doing party prep all day: dusting, laundry, vacuuming, general pickup, and then starting the preparation on the gazillion salads that we are serving tomorrow. Anders was outside all day weeding, mulching and then mowing the lawn. We also had to run to the store 3x for various forgotten ingredients. After dinner, which was gigantic, perfectly cooked, THICK steaks and artichokes, we did the salad prep. I was in charge of chopping vegetables. I'm a slicing, dicing queen. My mom and sister were very impressed, so I guess my two years of slavery service at the Bagel Fragel Deli during college has stood me in good stead. My sister and I managed to get in a couple of games of cribbage too, and the score stands 3-2 (her, darn it).
Tom (Sarah's sambo) was supposed to fly in tonight, but because of Bonnie and Clyde Charlie, his plane was delayed and he ended up having to stay overnight in Atlanta...we're not sure what time he'lll make it in tomorrow.
The relatives and my friends are descending sometime tomorrow afternoon, I think we figured we'll have 22 adults and 11 kids. ! Hopefully the weather will cooperate, but it's not looking too hopeful.
I can't believe there are only 3 days of vacation left.
