I've never seen a moose in the wild, but my mother has many years ago when she was picking berries or mushrooms in the forest at our summer cottage. She was more scared than excited.

Did you know in the 18th century, I believe under the king of Karl XII, there was a half-hearted attempt to tame and breed moose to use for cavallery? The Swedish were inspired by Arabs who had tamed camels. Probably they had been doing that for hundreds, if not thousands of years though. In a few places today, people are breeding moose for exhibition.
