UP TO MY ASS IN ALLIGATORS
It's not that I'm not in the mood to write or that I don't have things to write about...I'm just SWAMPED. I've got projects coming out my ears. Even though we had no plans this weekend and I DID sleep in like a total zombie this morning after a completely crazy week, I still seem to have every moment full with things to do and it's leaving little time for introspection.

What's...

a household chore you don't mind doing?

worse than looking foolish, for you?

the kind of insect you catch under a cup and carefully put outside instead of killing?

an endearment you despise?

the name of that artist you can't get enough of?

the name of the book you've re-read the most times?

a cliché you love to hate?

an ingredient in your recipe for a perfect day?

6. It's a tie between the Moomin books and the James Herriot books
7. Softly lit ceramic lamps in the form of animals
8. time

Re: Nice meme!

Why, thank you! I just made it up :) I want a softly lit ceramic lamp in the form of a ...bunny.

How'd the alligators get so close to your ass?

I think they're in league with the brain-eating rabbits.

a household chore you don't mind doing? Laundry

worse than looking foolish, for you? Being snobby or mean.

the kind of insect you catch under a cup and carefully put outside instead of killing? I don't really know what they are called, we always called them "skeeter eaters".

an endearment you despise? I'm sick and really like all the sugary sweet, idiotic endearments. haha I guess the only one I really don't like, but it's also not really an endearment, is when a man calls his wife "woman".

the name of that artist you can't get enough of? Right now I like Mika, his songs are so fun and happy.

the name of the book you've re-read the most times? Geek Love and/or The Secret Life of Bees

a cliché you love to hate? Där finns inga dåliga väder bara dåliga kläder. *cringe*

an ingredient in your recipe for a perfect day? Sun. But since that is so rare, laughter will also do. :)

We call them skeeter eaters, too! And that is my most despised cliché saying in the whole world!

a household chore you don't mind doing? - Mangling dish towels. And that's the ONLY one.

worse than looking foolish, for you? - Looking foolish isn't so bad, really.

the kind of insect you catch under a cup and carefully put outside instead of killing? - the only insects I kill are fat, hairy spiders and stinging bees

an endearment you despise? - ...none...

the name of that artist you can't get enough of? - Cornelis Vreeslijk. I just want to crawl into his lap and listen to him sing through his chest wall.

the name of the book you've re-read the most times? - I HATE rereading books. I reread Deliverance because of a school project once and that's the ONLY one.

a cliché you love to hate? - You can fool some of the people most of the time, etc.

an ingredient in your recipe for a perfect day? - time to myself doing whatever I feel like doing, and a LOT of it.

Deliverance!? Of all books to read twice! D:

1. Cooking
2. Being mean
3. Lighting bugs
4. None
5. Francesco Musante http://www.musante.it/ser1.asp
6. Journey to the East - by Hermann Hesse
7. If it's meant to be, it will be.
8. My kids and my husband, and chocolate!

Thanks for the link to Musante! What great colorful fun stuff!

a household chore you don't mind doing?
Haha - I don't even think of cooking as a chore

worse than looking foolish, for you?

Being foolish

the kind of insect you catch under a cup and carefully put outside instead of killing?

A bee. The spiders are welcome to stay if they are under 1 cm from toe to toe

an endearment you despise?

"Stumpan", but it's more of a chauvinist way of degrading someone than an endearment.

the name of that artist you can't get enough of?
Michelle, who is mainly a performance artist at the moment.

the name of the book you've re-read the most times?
The Black Stallion by Walter Farley

a cliché you love to hate?
"It's for the best"

an ingredient in your recipe for a perfect day?
Pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast

I remember helping a bee that got stranded on the balcony of our 12-story apartment building in Germany, when I was 16 years old. I gave it sugar water so it could get enough strength to fly away. My sister thought I was nuts.

1. Laundry. I frequently wish I could help out new parents by showing up and doing tons of laundry for them on the sly.
2. Not understanding what someone's trying to say.
3. Bees.
4. Darling. Ugh. Does anyone really say that? Darlin', on the other hand, is music to my ears, said appropriately.
5. Andy Goldsworthy
6. I'm not much of a rereader; I have, however, read the online troubleshooting guide for my router probably twenty times.
7. "This too shall pass." (Doesn't help much in the present, does it? This was especially bad regarding algebra woes in the 8th grade.)
8. Free time to sit and linger over anything.
