IN LOVING MEMORY
My friend passed away this morning, too fast and too soon. She had one of the most generous loving hearts I've ever known and the world is a grayer place without her light in it. Rest in peace, Carol.

The earth will never be the same again.
Rock, water, tree, iron, share this grief
As distant stars participate in pain.
A candle snuffed, a falling star or leaf,
A dolphin death, O this particular loss
Is Heaven-mourned; for if no angel cried,
If this small one was tossed away as dross,
The very galaxies then would have lied.
How shall we sing our love's song now
In this strange land where all are born to die?
Each tree and leaf and star show how
The universe is part of this one cry
That every life is noted and is cherished,
And nothing loved is ever lost or perished.

Oh Liz...I don't have any words. ((hugs))

I'm so sorry, Liz.

((hug))

You have my deepest sympathies.

*hugs*

Oh Liz, I'm so sorry.

Prayers for you & all others who knew & cared about Carol.

Hugs, girl. I lost a dear friend last December. It's so hard on the living.

I had that exact same thought on the way home from work: the world is a grayer place without Carol. I looked through some pictures of her and marvelled at how big, often and openly she smiled. A grayer place it is without that smile.

I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry. It's so sad to say goodbye to a friend.

(((hugs)))
I am so sorry.

My condolences Liz. It hurts to lose a friend, almost bewildering that life around us goes on. Take care. Sending hugs...

This poem always gives me peace.
"Parable of Immortality" by Henry Van Dyke

"I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch
until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea
and sky come down to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says, "There she goes!".

"Gone where? Gome from my sight - that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left
my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place
of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There she goes!" there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take
up the glad shout, "Here she comes!."
My heart is with you- Love, Lizardmom

Thanks, Mama. I needed that.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. A book that might help:

Beyond Knowing: Mysteries and Messages of Death and Life from a Forensic Pathologist by Janis Amatuzio

It helped me. It is on Amazon.

Again, I am so, so sorry.

(((hugs)))

I'm so sorry.
